Advancing Professionally Training Options

The Learning Space has identified three phases of training to meet the needs of all teachers regardless of technical skills. Click on a phase to learn more.

Phase I: Building Skills and Vision for Integrating Technology
Teachers new to technology and integration of technology into their classroom need carefully guided support. Phase I focuses on learning basic software (word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and the Internet) and embedding software tools with teacher processes and classroom activities.

Phase II: The Online, Project-Based Classroom
Teams will have opportunities to expand and build web based projects. Phase II focuses on developing online classroom resources and project portfolios including authentic assessments.

Phase III: Teacher Leadership (T3)
The Learning Space was founded on Teacher Leadership and believes strongly in teachers leading teachers. Teachers participating in the Teacher Leadership program will: develop professional development curriculum, build skills as an instructor and presenter and learn about emerging technologies.
